I have never commented on American Politics on my blog before because I have this little rule not to write about things I know nothing about. However, this is not really about American politics but about the Western disease of liberalism which includes political correctness that leads to the inability to recognise terrorism including direct threats even to themselves.
Ben Elton, the famous British and socialist comedy writer (born to Jewish parents) once staged a joke at a live event. It went something like this. A man on stage raged on about liberals. "They are the scum of the earth, they ought to be wiped out…". Then the camera zoomed into someone (Ben Elton) in the audience who said "I am a liberal and I defend your right to say these things!".
President of the United States, Obama, while hosting the parents of murdered Daniel Pearl, told them:
'Obviously, the loss of Daniel Pearl was one of those moments that captured the world’s imagination because it reminded us of how valuable a free press is.’
This statement reveals so much of Obama's mentality and should set off alarm bells with all American Jews.
His statement "One of those moments" tells us that what is truly important to him. His comment was about sound and video bytes - the things that everyone remembers. Not necessary important things but the eye catching media things. The chopping off of Daniel's head was certainly eye catching.
So what was the lesson that Obama learnt from this great global video event which he felt was important to share with Daniel's parents? That it reminded him just how valuable free press was! What a shallow and tactless comment to make. There is only one of only two possibilities why he uttered these words. Either he is grossly ignorant as to why Daniel was murdered or he knows why but it is not fashionable amongst the liberal left to mention such things.
Just before Daniel was murdered by a Muslim who was a student at London University's London School of Economics, Daniel said these words:
Daniel Pearl stared into the camera and said: "My father is Jewish, my mother is Jewish, I am Jewish". Then his throat was cut and head removed.
In case anyone is under any doubt, Daniel died not because he was prevented from reporting on any news item but because he was a Jew.
Either Obama is grossly ignorant of this fact, in which case his aids and advisors should be sacked for not briefing him sufficiently and causing him to utter those stupid words, or he knew why Daniel was murdered but chose not to bring up the subject of Islamic Anti-Semitism because it just isn't cool to mention such things.
According to liberals, anti-Semitism does not exist. The Jew was murdered because of his politics, because of his support for Israel, because of his clothes, because of his favourite colour. Anything, but anything except that he was murdered because he was a Jew.
To deny anti-Semitism is itself anti-Semitic.
