Problems leaving Comments

Many people have complained that they cannot leave Comments on my Blog. I did some Googling and found that this is a common complaint. The cause seams to be that some browsers have trouble leaving comments on Blogs that have their Comments settings set to "Embedded comments" (which seem to be Blogger.com's default setting). However in order to use this feature, the browser leaving the Comment has to be set to a low Security setting. To ensure that everyone can leave Comments on your blog, do the following: Edit any of your past entries and click on Settings. Go to the "Comments" TAB and change the "Comment Form Placement" to "Full page".

Don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Save Settings". That should do it.

I think your blog is great. Blogger is a bit of a pain sometimes though.

If you are able to find some web space which can run ASP.NET 2.0+, I highly recommended BlogEngine.net, see our Internet Marketing Training blog, its what we use. Apart from anything else it allows you to skin your blog very easily and has some cool features like ping services, track and pingbacks plus its open source .NET so you can enhance the code behind also.

Anyway, I hope all is well with you and the family.

Thanks for your comment Graham.

I find Blogger quick and easy to use. However it does offer very limited editing tools and there are bugs when it adds bogus HTML code in strange places which have to be deleted in the HTML editor.

I purposely did not choose something with .Net programming capabilities because I'd then get bogged down in programming and the actual content would suffer.

Overall, Blogger suits my needs (at the moment....)
